Phase I of our HELP (Housing, Employment, Learning and Purpose) Capital Campaign successfully raised $18 million.

Domestic Violence

In 2007, UMOM secured funding to open its first shelter specifically targeting domestic violence survivors.  This program is a 56 bed facility for adults and children who are fleeing abuse. It operates year round at an undisclosed location.

During the 2009-2010 fiscal year, this program:

  • Served more than 299 adults and children
  • 60% of the children served by this program were under 6 years old
