Permanent Affordable Housing

A crucial step in breaking the cycle of homelessness is providing families with permanent, affordable housing that still provides them with support services for children and adults.

In September of 2009 UMOM merged with another local non-profit, Helping Hands Housing Services, to better provide a full continuum of support for families experiencing homelessness. We are proud to integrate the Helping Hands family into the UMOM umbrella of support. We call all of our housing services Next Step Housing.

Currently, Next Step Housing operates four multi-family (apartment) properties in the Phoenix area. The four communities total 292 apartment units and are located in east Phoenix (The Legacy Crossing), north central Phoenix (Casa de Paz Sahuaro), and south and southwest Phoenix (Casa de Sunland and Fillmore).
