Tumbleweed programs are now a part of UMOM!
For 40 years, Tumbleweed provided emergency help and shelter for homeless teens and young adults. In May 2017, UMOM took over these programs, and now offers them as “Tumbleweed: a Service of UMOM.”
The mission for these services is the same: helping teens and young adults move from the street to self-sufficient adulthood.
is a home where minors and runaways, ages 12-17, find temporary safety and support during periods of crisis.
is a walk-in facility in Phoenix offering a safe place, food, showers, and laundry, along with access to long-term support services.
Staff and volunteers regularly visit parks and other places where homeless youth are likely to congregate. We provide water, supplies and information about supportive services.
In partnership with QT convenience stores and Valley Metro transit services, Safe Place offers special phones, available 24/7 for youth in crisis to request emergency help.
Offers transitional housing, job training and placement, and life skills training for young adults aged 18-25.
is a UMOM owned and operated T-shirt and textile silk screening business. Eligible young clients can find work at TumbleTees. Profits support Tumbleweed: a service of UMOM programs.
