Thanks for Helping to Keep Our Play Spaces Open!

A recent campus inspection showed that we need to speed up planned repairs to our outdoor playground and indoor gym.  Without raising new funds, we were at risk of having to close two of our most popular play areas soon.

We asked for your help, and we’re proud to say we’ve exceeded our goals!

Forever Grateful: A Letter from a UMOM Family

This success story was written by a family that recently left the family shelter at UMOM New Day Centers.

If I could scream with joy for the world to hear me, I would.

I could never thank UMOM and our case manager Sherry Washington for everything that they have done for myself, my husband, our six children, and our bundle of joy on the way.”

Update from “The Zone”

As you may know, UMOM staff members have supported each encampment sweep & clean-up effort that has been conducted by the City of Phoenix.

We recently received reporting from the City of Phoenix and wanted to pass it on to you.

To date, 184 individuals from the encampment have been engaged and 147 have accepted an offer of indoor shelter—an acceptance rate of 80%.

Of those folks, UMOM has sheltered 11 single women and 7 families.

One of those families had a 9-month old baby and was able to get off the street and into safe, air-conditioned shelter at UMOM New Day Centers.
